Statement on Utah Health Officials Announcing Second Case of COVID-19

The Utah Department of Health has confirmed a case of COVID-19 for a patient currently receiving treatment at Intermountain McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden.

Because of federal privacy laws, the hospital will not be releasing information about the patient or the patient's condition.

Thorough isolation precautions are in place to fully protect patients and caregivers. The hospital is following all appropriate safety protocols identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Utah Department of Health.
