Learn from Intermountain Health Experts Live at the Virtual LiVe Well Health Fair on October 5-9

Intermountain Dixie Regional Medical Center invites the general public to participate in a virtual LiVe Well Health Fair starting Monday, October 5 and ending Friday, October 9.

Visit www.dixieregional.org/virtualhealthfair to watch live presentations from local health experts speaking to today’s important health topics.  There will be two live presentations a day -- 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. -- and viewers can ask questions through a live chat below each video.

“Although we can’t come together in the usual fashion this year, the Virtual Health Fair is still a great opportunity for people to learn more about their health,” said Patrick Carroll, MD, MPH, medical director of Dixie Regional Medical Center. “Understanding your health and practicing good health habits can be as essential as breathing.”

Dr. Carroll will kick-off the event at 10 a.m. on October 5 with a presentation on COVID-19 in Washington County. “We have started to see an increase in COVID-19 positive cases in Washington County since school started in August. I will provide updates on local COVID-19 news, what happens when you are COVID-19 positive, how you can protect yourself, and what the future looks like today.”

“The annual Health Fair at Dixie Regional Medical Center has always been a valuable resource to our community,” said Laura Bowles, event coordinator for the Virtual Health Fair. “This year, due to COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) we’ve decided to host our health fair, virtually. Intermountain caregivers will present live on important health topics like COVID-19 in Washington County, overcoming fitness barriers, suicide prevention, and much more. We don’t want to take away the health education that usually comes with a health fair.”
