Intermountain Precision Genomics Eliminating 38 Positions

Service transitioning from research to patient application focus. 38 positions within Precision Genomics at Intermountain Health will be ended on March 20, 2023. These positions are from multiple areas within Precision Genomics located in Utah

Each impacted employee has been personally notified and assigned a Human Resources representative to work with to identify other job opportunities at Intermountain that align with their needs and preferences, or to find opportunities outside of the organization. Severance packages will generally be available to those not able to stay with Intermountain.

This change is driven by plans for Precision Genomics to now begin a move from a long-term research model to a new model that focuses on how to best apply and incorporate clinical learnings today and in the future. These clinical applications can then deliver more value and better care to patients. The current model has not been financially viable for several years.
