Medical Milestone for Cache Valley: Intermountain Logan Regional Hospital and Intermountain Life Flight Formally Open New 24/7 Base in Northern Utah

WHAT:
Intermountain Logan Regional Hospital will mark a historic medical moment on Tuesday, August 1, as it welcomes 24/7 Intermountain Life Flight air ambulance service to Cache Valley with the formal opening of a new Intermountain Life Flight base, dedicated medical helicopter, and air transport medical team, who will be stationed at the hospital to save lives throughout Northern Utah. 

Hospital officials and caregivers, Intermountain Life Flight personnel, and community leaders, will join together to commemorate the special event with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the hospital’s helipad at 10:15 am, MT, and breakfast celebration at 9:30 am, MT.

Intermountain Life Flight, which was the 7th air ambulance service in the United States when it began operation in 1978, is celebrating its 45th anniversary in 2023. It is one of the premier air ambulance services in the nation and currently the only civilian air transport program in the country licensed to perform hoist rescues.
