Intermountain Health Park City Hospital to Host Free Women’s Health and Wellness Night on Thursday, Nov. 2

Women make 80 percent of the healthcare decisions for most families. But while they’re taking care of everyone else, they may neglect their own health. That’s why Intermountain Health Park City Hospital is hosting an evening devoted to women’s health and wellness on Thursday, Nov. 2, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the hospital’s Blair Education Center located at 900 Round Valley Drive.

The event includes a panel of eight physicians from various medical specialties who will speak briefly from 6 to 6:45 pm about the top women’s health questions and concerns they see in their practices. Members of the physician panel will include: Michael Chen, MD, OB/Gyn; Holly Clark, MD, gastroenterology; Paul Deramo, MD, plastic surgery; Amanda Donohue, DO, cardiology; Kevin Gardner, MD, dermatology; Carrie Jaworski, MD, sports medicine; Sean Udell, MD, psychiatry; and Mary Veghte, MD, family practice.

“Women are a powerful influence on the health of their families and we’re excited to give them an opportunity to take time out for themselves and focus on their own health and connect with other women,” said Lori Weston, administrator of Intermountain Health Park City Hospital.

The event will include health screenings, nutrition consults, on-site mammogram scheduling, and 10-minute massages. There will be caregivers and information at booths featuring women’s heart health, breast cancer, women’s sports performance, mental health resources, and representatives from SelectHealth, and the Summit County Health Department.

There will be a service opportunity provided by The Flower Bar Co. where women can make a bouquet that will be delivered to patients at the hospital or nearby care centers. Women can also make a bouquet to take home. There will be drawings for prizes, and light refreshments and beverages will be served.
