What is infusion therapy?

Infusion therapy delivers medications, fluids, blood products, or other treatments through an IV or injection. It is commonly used as part of cancer treatment, symptom management, hydration support, infection treatment, and other medical therapies. Many treatments that once required hospitalization can now be safely administered in an outpatient infusion center, allowing patients to return home the same day.
