Preparing for Your Virtual Visit at Intermountain Health
We appreciate you choosing Intermountain Health for your healthcare needs. Our primary goal is to make your virtual visit with your healthcare provider as seamless as possible. You have the option to have your video visit on your phone, tablet or computer. If you want a larger screen, you may prefer your computer or laptop, however you need to have a camera and mic available on your computer. Here's a simple guide to get you started:
1. Choose a Suitable Environment:
Ensure you have a strong Internet connection, and choose a quiet, private location where you can talk freely with your provider.
2. Receiving Your Link:
A few moments before your scheduled appointment, we will send you a text message or an email containing a link for your virtual visit.
3. Select Your Browser:
For an optimal experience, we recommend using Google Chrome, Edge, or Firefox for Windows users. Mac users should use Safari, Google Chrome, or Firefox. Android mobile device users can use Google Chrome or the Samsung browser, while iOS device users should use Safari. For those using Google Chrome on an iOS device, remember to "Copy Invite Link", then launch Safari to paste and go.
4. Access the Video Visit:
Once you have your link, click to open it. Enter your preferred name and mobile phone number. Confirm you have read the Notice of Privacy Practices by ticking the box. You'll also have the opportunity to test your device at this stage to ensure everything is functioning correctly.
5. Grant Access:
Enable access to your camera and microphone. You will then enter the Visit Preview window, and the phone and video icons will turn blue.
6. Join the Visit:
Once you see these icons, you're all set to join the visit. Please stay in the Video Visit until your provider arrives.
