Will SelectHealth only cover CVS pharmacies? Caregivers with SelectHealth insurance can access any pharmacy in the SelectHealth network to fill up to a 30-day supply of prescription medications. Contact the SelectHealth Pharmacy team at 800-538-5038 for help finding a pharmacy that’s best for you. You can also search for a participating pharmacy at selecthealth.org. Nearly all retail pharmacies in Idaho and Utah are covered by SelectHealth.
How can I get 90-day prescriptions filled? Intermountain caregivers and their dependents with SelectHealth coverage will be required to fill 90-day prescriptions through Intermountain Home Delivery or the Primary Children’s Community Pharmacy. This is necessary to keep our benefit costs as low as possible. Intermountain Home Delivery does an amazing job servicing all SelectHealth members. In reviewing the market options, we haven’t found an alternative for 90-day prescriptions that will provide the service we expect at the price we get at Home Delivery. Personally, my family and my parents use Home Delivery for prescriptions, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service we receive. What if I need a specialty prescription that I could only find at an Intermountain pharmacy? Check with Home Delivery or Specialty Pharmacy to see if they can help with your prescription. You can also contact the SelectHealth Pharmacy team at 800-538-5038.
What should caregivers and patients do next? Patients who use an Intermountain pharmacy will receive letters in the next few weeks explaining how the transition of prescriptions will work. Please continue using your Intermountain pharmacy until the transition. When the pharmacy closes, the prescription files will be automatically transferred to CVS. Contact your Intermountain pharmacy ahead of the closures with any questions.
