Four Intermountain hospitals earn national praise from Press Ganey

The St. George Regional Hospital was one of four Intermountain hospitals honored with  Guardians of Excellence Awards from Press Ganey.

Intermountain Healthcare has received five national recognitions from Press Ganey. Four Intermountain hospitals received Guardians of Excellence Awards, which honor organizations that are among the top five percent of Press Ganey clients for patient experience, caregiver engagement, physician engagement, or clinical quality performance. Honorees include: 

  • Orem Community Hospital inpatient
  • St. George Regional Hospital Emergency Department, Access Center, and inpatient
  • Park City Hospital Emergency Department
  • Garfield Memorial Hospital Emergency Department

Garfield Memorial’s Emergency Department and Outpatient Services, including laboratory, radiology, and diagnostic services, also received the Pinnacle of Excellence Award from Press Ganey. The hospital was recognized among 110 top-performing healthcare organizations for achieving and maintaining consistently high levels of excellence for consecutive years in patient experience, employee engagement, physician engagement, or clinical quality programs. Presented annually, the Press Ganey awards recognize healthcare organizations delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. Honorees are rated based on patient experience, especially performance on global survey results, including likelihood to recommend, overall rating, and/or teamwork rating across designated questions on the Press Ganey Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey.
