The Press Ganey survey will be available September 1.

You’re invited to share your voice by participating in this year’s Caregiver Experience Survey. The survey, administered by Press Ganey, will run Thursday, September 1, through Thursday, September 22. It measures caregiver engagement, team experience, culture of safety, caregiver well-being, and—for RNs—nurse excellence. This will be the first survey that captures the voices of caregivers across the enterprise, in the Canyons, Desert, and Peaks regions. You’ll receive an email from Press Ganey on September 1 with a unique link to the survey.

“On behalf of the Executive Leadership Team, I’d like to express our appreciation for your commitment and effort to improve engagement and caregiver experience,” says Heather Brace, chief people officer. “We’re now a team of more than 59,000 people with diverse backgrounds and unique experiences. Caregiver voices are critical to advance our mission, create a thriving workplace, and drive excellence in patient experience and outcomes. These voices are even more important as we continue our integration efforts and create a new chapter in Intermountain Healthcare history.”

Fast facts about the 2022 Caregiver Experience Survey:

  • It’ll take 15-20 minutes to complete.
  • All caregivers, physicians, and advanced practice providers (APPs) in the Peaks, Desert, and Canyons Regions hired or licensed by July 1, 2022 will receive an email link to participate in the Caregiver Experience Survey.
  • Affiliated physicians and APPs in the Peaks Region are not in scope for this survey.
  • The survey will be offered in both English and Spanish.
  • Survey results are confidential—no personal identifiers are included in the results.

The Caregiver Experience Survey is one of the methods Intermountain uses to gather caregiver feedback. It provides an opportunity for you to reflect on improvements your team has made over the past year, including progress made on improving caregiver experience. It also helps us identify areas of areas of opportunity for the next year.

“We recognize that we’re only four months into our integration work, so some teams haven’t undergone reorganization and others may have already experienced a lot of change,” says Heather. “Key terms are built into the survey to help explain or clarify who the question refers to. The name of your leader as of July 14, 2022, will also appear in the survey.”

Your leader will share results of the survey with you in October. Based on the results, you and your team will work with your leader to create an action plan on items you want to see changed or improved.

If you have questions about the Caregiver Experience Survey, review these FAQs or talk to your leader. You can contact Ask HR with additional questions at 801-442-7547 or askhr@imail.org.
