What sets us apart

Get to know why we're the best care team for your child.

At our center, we focus on good communication and teamwork to help treat some of the most complicated heart problems. This standard allows us to provide your child with best care from more than 40 highly skilled doctors and 300 staff members—including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, heart ultrasound technicians, nurses, perfusionists, breathing therapists, social workers, genetic counselors, child life specialists, and more.

Research plays an important role in offering the best care for your child. Our research highlights include:

  • 1 of 2 institutions nationwide that participates in all three major research association for National Institutes of Health and National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute
  • 1 of 4 Cardiac Development Consortium sites
  • 1 of 5 participants in the Pediatric Cardiac Genomes Consortium
  • 1 of 9 facilities chosen as a core site of the Pediatric Heart Network

Our survival rates are among the highest in the nation, which can help your family leave the hospital earlier—reducing stress, improving care, and lowering costs.

If your child needs surgery, our medical and surgical complication rates are among the lowest in the country, including for cardiac arrest. Additionally, in our catheterization lab, we use 50% less radiation compared to the national average.

All to help provide the best care for your child.
