Learn more about what to expect with this service

To be eligible, patients must meet the following criteria:

  • Over the age of 18 years old
  • Have an established gout diagnosis with blood work conducted in the last year
  • Must NOT be pregnant/breastfeeding or trying to become pregnant
  • Must NOT have an active infection or any signs or symptoms of infection (e.g. fever or chills)
  • Must NOT be taking immunosuppressive medications
  • No recent surgery or injury to the joint with alleged gout symptoms
A clinical pharmacist should contact you within a few business hours (between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm MST) of submitting the intake form.
  • Prescription insurance information
  • Medication list (including any medications taken in the past 14 days)
  • Gout history
  • Other medical history

The pharmacist will prescribe a temporary supply of the medication with the intent of bridging you until you can be seen by a health care provider for the appropriate follow-up. Please try to ensure you have an appointment scheduled before the medication runs out. If you need additional medication to last until your appointment, you can be seen by another On-Demand pharmacist by filling out another intake form.

The cost of the service is a $29 consultation fee, plus the cost of medication(s).
Colchicine and NSAIDs.

Complete the online intake form so a licensed pharmacist can determine the right treatment for you. A pharmacist will call you within 24–48 hours to discuss treatment options.

We’ll make up to two phone calls and one email if we can’t reach you right away by phone. Usually, we cannot provide a prescription without speaking with you first.

Refunds are not given if we cannot reach you via phone or email. Bank payments cannot be refunded.

If too much time passes after you send your form and we can’t reach you, you may need to fill out a new one so we have your updated health information.
