David Flood has been named President of the Intermountain Foundation at Intermountain Healthcare. In this role, Mr. Flood, who previously was Vice President, continues to provide leadership for all philanthropic programs at Intermountain Healthcare, and oversees the Intermountain Foundation in conjunction with the foundation's volunteer Board of Trustees. Intermountain Foundation supports fundraising activities for Intermountain Healthcare’s 23 hospitals and affiliated healthcare programs throughout the Intermountain West.
Under Mr. Flood’s leadership, Intermountain Foundation has grown to become one of the highest return on investment business lines in the Intermountain system, while implementing efficient operational practices to ensure maximum impact in stewarding philanthropic dollars. Earlier this year, Intermountain Foundation was honored by the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) as one of only 45 organizations throughout North American as a “High Performer” for its exemplary performance in raising funds for its local communities’ health needs.
Prior to joining Intermountain Healthcare in 2013, Mr. Flood held leadership roles in higher education and healthcare, most recently as President of Meridian Health Affiliated Foundations in New Jersey, where he was named the state's Outstanding Professional Fundraiser by the Association of Fundraising Professionals. He received bachelor and master degrees from Seton Hall University. He currently serves as International Board Chairman of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy.
