Meet Shawnee.

Bullied at school, teenager Shawnee Thompson wanted to die. Treated in the pediatric behavioral health unit at McKay-Dee Hospital, Shawnee regained her strength and turned her life around so completely that she entered and won the 2017 Miss Box Elder Teen competition.

The Miss Box Elder Teen competition provided a $500 award, and Shawnee didn't think twice about what she should do with the $500 award. Shawnee gratefully donated the $500 to McKay-Dee Hospital, the hospital that saved her life.
