The Intermountain Blood and Marrow Transplant/Acute Leukemia (BMTIAL) Program, located at LDS Hospital, provides cutting-edge care to patients with advanced and complicated blood and marrow cancers. Since the bone marrow transplant program's inception in 1978, thousands of adult patients have received transplants for a variety of malignant and non-malignant diseases.
The Acute Hematologic Malignancy Program at LDS Hospital treats patients with acute leukemia and aggressive lymphomas. We were the first blood and marrow transplant program in Utah and we’ve received recognition locally, nationally, and internationally for our state-of-the-art treatment programs, our patient outcomes, and the overall quality of care we provide.
LDS Hospital was the first facility in the Intermountain West to offer safe and timely blood and marrow transplants using half-matched parents, siblings or children of a recipient as the stem cell donor.
