With butt lift or augmentation surgery, fat grafting techniques give fuller and more rounded appearances to flat, small, or asymmetrical buttocks.

When is a butt lift beneficial?

For active and healthy individuals who cannot achieve the level of roundness or smoothness in their buttocks that they prefer, a butt lift, also referred to as the Brazilian butt lift, is beneficial. Additionally, butt lift surgery can remove some cellulite, which can be very difficult for some women to get rid of on their own.

How is a butt lift performed?

During a butt lift surgery, liposuction is performed through small, discreet incisions to remove fat, some of which will then be transferred to a more desired area (fat grafting). The surgeon will add the fat to these areas through small injections all over the buttocks.

In some cases, a silicone implant will be used and inserted in or above the gluteal muscles, depending on the degree of enlargement desired and body type.

What results can I expect?

The final results of your butt lift will appear soon after surgery as the fat grafting continues to settle. Keep in mind that this fat can behave like any other fat in the body, growing or shrinking with weight gain or loss. Preserving the new look can be achieved with weight maintenance and pursuit of a healthy lifestyle.
