As a not-for-profit health system, we at Intermountain Healthcare focus on helping and healing those in need.

Intermountain’s commitment to community health extends well beyond the walls of our hospitals. Helping the vulnerable and underserved is our responsibility and our privilege as a not-for-profit organization.

In 2013, we donated more than $280 million in financial assistance to those unable to pay—in about 275,000 cases. That’s an average of $767,000 a day dedicated to people in need. We also help support 25 community and school-based clinics that provide 325,000 clinic visits annually to patients (children and families) in underserved areas.

Through targeted health initiatives, community and school clinics we operate or support, our financial assistance program, and our partnerships with community agencies, Intermountain reaches out to better serve those in need and to improve overall health in our region.
