Medical Records

Riverton Hospital’s medical records department provides complete, accurate, and timely medical history information. We protect patient privacy by sharing information only with the professional staff who have a legitimate need to know. We also collect a significant amount of information for quality improvement, research, and billing purposes.

A patient's medical records contain information compiled from many sources:

  • Bedside charts kept by physicians and nurses
  • Voice transcription files recorded by physicians
  • Monitoring equipment

The records contain information that is critically important to quality patient care.
