Utah Valley Hospital is committed to helping people live the healthiest lives possible. That’s why we’re opening a LiVe Well Center on our campus in 2018.

The LiVe Well Center will have classes and programs designed to help you eat well, move well, feel well, and be well. No matter what your goals are, our team of experts will be there to help you succeed.

Our team will evaluate your well being in several areas, including nutrition, physical activity, stress, sleep, relationships, and emotional health. Then, based on your results, we’ll make recommendations to help you achieve your goals and live a healthier life.

LiVe Well

LiVe Well Center Assessment: $249

The LiVe Well Assessment evaluates all of the major areas of well being: nutrition, physical activity, stress, sleep, relationships, and emotional health. You will work with the LiVe Well Center team to review how you are doing in each area and put together a Wellness Profile with a game plan for improving your well being.

LiVe Well Center Assessment Plus: $549

The LiVe Well Center Assessment Plus include all of the components from the LiVe Well Center Assessment—an evaluation of your nutrition, physical activity, stress, sleep, relationships, and emotional health with a customized Wellness Profile and game plan for improving your well being. In addition, you’ll get lab work done to evaluate risk factors for chronic disease, along with a personalized wellness consultation with a physician.

Weigh to Health Program: Insurance

Lose weight and reduce your risk of developing type II diabetes through this dietitian-led 12 month program. Learn more about Weigh to Health.

Healthy Lifestyle Program: $740 (6 months)

This six-month comprehensive program incorporates nutrition education, cooking classes, personal training, group fitness classes, accountability, and behavior change support in a way that teaches you skills for eating well, moving well, and living well in your busy life.

Intermountain Arthritis Program Initial Screening: Insurance

Get help managing arthritis pain with nutrition education focused on an anti-inflammatory diet, specialized fitness classes, and stress management support. This program is excellent for those with chronic arthritis pain who may or may not be considering joint replacement or lower back surgery, as well as for those who have already had surgery and are looking to improve their quality of life.

Intermountain Arthritis Program Healthy Nutrition for Arthritis Class: FREE

This free 90-minute class will show you how food can impact arthritis symptoms. You'll learn about anti-inflammatory foods, nutritional supplements, and strategies to help you lose weight.

Intermountain Arthritis Program Life Management Class: FREE

Led by a licensed clinical social worker, you'll learn behavioral patterns for good health, self-awareness, meditation, breathing, and how to make choices that support a healthy lifestyle.

Intermountain Arthritis Program Living Well with Arthritis Class: FREE

This class will explain how osteoarthritis progresses, how you can manage your symptoms, and which types of aquatic and land-based exercises can help alleviate arthritis pain. 

Intermountain Arthritis Program Back School Class: FREE

Help you understand basic anatomy of the spine, how to properly perform aerobic exercises, and how to do flexibility and strengthening movements that can help relieve pain.

Stepping On Class: FREE (7 weeks)

Each year, more than a third of adults 65 and older experience a fall, often resulting in injuries and hospitalization. Stepping On is a free seven-week program designed to help older adults reduce their risk of falls. Stepping On teaches tips for improving balance, helping you build confidence and maintain your independence. The Stepping On program has been proven to reduce falls by 30% by addressing balance issues, medications that can cause dizziness, and vision impairment.  

Living Well with Chronic Conditions Class: FREE (6 weeks)

A free six-week workshop series for those living with chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, asthma, chronic pain, depression, fatigue, and more. A licensed social worker and other professionals will give you tips and advice to help you live life to the fullest despite your condition.

Be Well

Stress Less, LiVe Well Classes: $45 (3 weeks)

You can’t always change your situation, but you can change how you think about your situation. Let our licensed clinical social worker teach you ways to reduce your stress by changing your mindset and living mindfully. This three-week class series will help you learn simple strategies for becoming more self-aware so you can effectively manage your stress. 

More Ways to Stress Less, LiVe Well Classes: $45 (3 weeks)

Our three-week class series offers more techniques to help you reduce stress. You’ll learn how the basics—sleep, nutrition, and comfort—can lay the groundwork for calming the chaos in your life, and how positive thinking can alter your outlook.  

Behavioral Health Consultations: Insurance

Get support from a licensed social worker to identify your barriers to change and get help managing stress, strengthening relationships, and improving sleep.

Monthly Be Well Class: $15

Each month, the LiVe Well Center will offer an interactive group class focused on a different emotional wellness topic. These hour-long classes are designed to help you incorporate actionable tips to improve your sleep, stress levels, relationships, thinking patterns, and self-care routine.

Eat Well

Nutrition Consultations: Insurance

Meet individually with a registered dietitian to get a customized nutrition plan and support to improve your diet.

Grocery Store Tours: $20

Tour a local grocery store with a registered dietitian who will teach you strategies for shopping on a budget, how to read nutrition labels, and tips for making healthier choices.

Healthy Meals in Minutes: $85 (5 weeks)

Led by trained chefs and a registered dietitian, this multi-part class teaches you how to make healthy eating convenient and budget-friendly by incorporating meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, and the basic culinary skills needed to prepare quick, delicious, and healthy meals.

Nutrition Essentials: $50 (4 weeks)

Learn the fundamentals of healthy, mindful eating with this four-week dietitian-led series.

Nutrition Elevated: $50 (4 weeks)

This class builds upon the Nutrition Essentials series and teaches more advanced concepts like meal timing and eating for optimal athletic performance.

Kids in the Kitchen: $85 (5 weeks)

Learn basic culinary skills while preparing healthy meals to share with your family. The best part? You'll get to eat your culinary creations at the end of each class! Test what you've learned with a MasterChef Junior-style cooking competition during the last class in the series.

Monthly Cooking Classes: $25

Individual topic-based classes will teach you practical ways to cook for a crowd, prepare gluten-free meals, and incorporate more colorful produce into your meals.

Move Well

Functional Fitness Assessment: $45

Test your flexibility, balance, muscular strength, and cardiovascular fitness then sit down with our exercise therapist to receive a customized exercise prescription for improving targeted areas of fitness.

Body Composition Analysis: $45

Determine your body fat percentage and lean mass percentage using the Bod Pod.

Resting Metabolic Rate Analysis: $45

Measure the rate your body burns calories at rest to reveal the amount of calories you should eat and the amount of physical activity you should do to maintain or lose weight.

Yoga for Back Pain: $65/month (8 classes)

This gentle yoga program incorporates moves specifically designed to ease lower back pain--no previous yoga experience required.

ArthroFit: $65/month (8 classes)

60-minute class features a variety of exercises to help you achieve better health and mobility, including Aerobic Conditioning, Flexibility and Stretching, and Strength Training. 

Advanced ArthroFit: $65/month (8 classes)

This fitness class for arthritis focuses on muscle building and helps you transition from recovery to wellness through various exercises. 

SpineFit: $65/month (8 classes)

During each 60-minute SpineFit class, you will engage in a full body exercise program while strengthening your spine through various exercises.

LiVe Fit Class: $65/month (8 classes)

Improve your fitness level to complete daily activities, hobbies and sports with ease. After a group warm-up, you'll work individually using your customized exercise prescription with support from our exercise therapist.

Build Me Up Class: $65/month (8 classes)

Build strength and endurance to help perform activities of daily living with greater ease. The Build Me Up class uses seated resistance exercises and is appropriate for individuals with mobility challenges and who may be using assistive walking devices.

Fallproof Balance & Mobility Class: $65/month (8 classes)

Fallproof Balance & Mobility provides a structured and progressive group program of activities designed to address the factors that contribute to balance and mobility. This specialized program has been proven effective in reducing the risk of falling in those at a moderate to high falls risk. It offers two levels to meet the needs of older adults seeking functional independence.

Personal Training: $35/$65 (30 Minutes/60 Minutes)

Work individually with a personal trainer, or bring a friend and get customized instruction on effective exercises to help you get moving. Trainers will show you proper technique on all of the equipment in the LiVe Well Center and will tailor a training plan for you, no matter if you’re just getting started with exercise or looking to take your fitness to the next level. 

Fitness Foundations: $50 (4 weeks)

If you’re trying to learn your way around the gym, this class is a great place to start. You’ll learn how to safely use gym equipment and what muscle groups each piece of equipment strengthens. The class will emphasize the importance of cardiovascular, resistance, and flexibility training and give you exercises you can do to improve each area of fitness.
