Accreditation

The Transitional Year Residency was founded in 1983 and has full accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.

Program Affiliation

The Transitional Year Residency has sponsor affiliation with the internal medicine and surgery residencies at the University of Utah School of Medicine. In addition to the three months of elective time, the year consists of rotations in internal medicine, surgery, intensive care, emergency medicine, and ambulatory medicine.
